scotty71
**updated with video** When the ignition is switched off sometimes, not all the time it sounds like the heater or air con comes on... Its not the electric fan but a noise from the back of the engine bay (bulkhead) so I would say it is heater/aircon related?? It comes on intermitantly with the keys out thus draining the battery totally. Any ideas guys. I have took a small vid and will post if required scotty S-BT5QVOGXw Edited April 18, 2010 by scotty71 (see edit history)

I have took a small vid and will post if required scotty Back of the bulkhead mate, right at the very bottom there is a fan for the electric power steering. If its working thats a good thing.. I've got one in work that siezed then caught fire and took the loom with it! Shouldn't come on if you've turned off though

Shouldn't come on if you've turned off though It seems like its at the back of the expansion tank. I will post the video up in a few minutes. Yeah noise comes on with the keys out and when I switched the heater off from 1 to 0 it seemed to switch off but keeps coming on again now. The video might give a better clue but Im thinking of some sort of electrical short but can not figure why it is on when the ignition is off:d

Just now to find out why the fan is on with no power/ignition turned on?? the fan is definately the issue.
