Facelift

Low Beam Headlight Bulb Size: 9006

High Beam Headlamp Light Bulb Size: 9005

Confirmed as I found out to my peril buying a 9005 HID kit in the GB.

Hopefully the seller will exchange.

There not all like that though Westy. If it makes you feel any better, i've just removed my facelift lights and they are the same as yours :p Fortunately i'm fitting UK spec headlights though, so the difference in bulbs worked in my favour :D

Ok.... so whilst searching I came across this and was also pointed in the direction of this thread.

It seems a bit of a minefield when googling online which dipped/low beam HID kit to buy for a 1994 jspec supra, the variations and advice vary on whether it is an H3 or H4 buld/kit required, but all agree that it is the 9006.

So just before I part with my hard earned cash.... is this the correct kit I am looking for?

Many thanks in advance for any help offered

Can anyone confirm what size headlamp LED bulbs are needed for a year 2000 facelift J spec car? Low/highbeam and front fog lights. Many thanks, it all seems a minefield to me at the moment. I will be opting for the NightEye brand as I seem to hear good things about them.

For anyone else finding this, the 9006J variant bulb is narrower than the normal 9006 and you can't really get them in the UK, a normal 9006 will not fit. Use a 9005 instead, you'll have to trim a small plastic tab out of the inside of the connector plug to get them to fit. As a slight bonus, 9005's are more powerful.

This might need to be updated as I don't think 9006 will fit for jspec dipped headlights.
I think they should be 9006J, or need to be a modified 9005 / 9006.

In fact. I've just fitted a 9005 into a jspec facelift dipped headlight socket, without trimming tabs or altering it in any way.
