How do i remove auto gear lever??

Trying to remove auto gear lever so i can change the selector panel.have removed the plastic surrounds and undone the 4 x screws underneath that fix the whole assembly down,Cannot see how the gear lever is removed???

I've done this actually, when I replaced the leather on mine.

 

From memory, the thing that holds it in now is the buttons . You need to pull those out (can't remember how) and the the leaver is freed.

You mean the lever with the O/D swithc etc on it?

Put the lever in N, below the leather part is a plastic cover, slide this down to reveal 2 cross head screws, undo the screws and pull the lever off.

That's it , I think you also have to disconect the O/D wire from the button to totaly remove the lever.

Nope, its all integral, just slide it off/on.

i Certainly had to remove the OD button or something from memory

I dont see how its any different between the Aristo and the Supra. Go and try it
