Grazer
I don't bloody think so. But for £600 I've got a lot of car for less cash than I was spending on the Supra every month! Feel free to rip me to pieces - I bought it because it made me laugh, and no other car I saw for less than a grand did that
RedM
There is nowt wrong with a Volvo. Is it an 850?
Max Headroom
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Its a Volvo. Will you be getting a flat cap and a pipe ?
Grazer
It's a 1993 850 SE. The cap and pipe are standard with all models. Incidentally, I think I could fit at least 3 bodies in the boot......
Dragon
i'm sorry, i know somebody with a volvo - you will be going into his catergory. i must admit, extremely cheap car for what it is. RedM
I own a Volvo. Along with the flat cap an pipe you need to add driving gloves and a caravan.
paulrenn
Volvos rule! I have an XC90 for family business and we also have a 200,000 km+++ 850 in the family. They drive really well in fact and are really comfy. Great for winter also.
Jspec Germany
uGH! *insert puke noise here* Grocery-getter hell! Sorry man, but I understand your pain. Owning a supra can be a financial burden, nevermind super-rewarding pride machine meow-meow magnet. Enjoy the slow lane... chump. LOL. Ian C
Chris Wilson drives an estate one of those so watch what you say, he'd probably beat you round a track in it -Ian
RedM
My Volvo has this thing that happens in third gear. Hit 50 and all hell breaks loose. It just accelerates like f**k but at 65 it tops out and when I change to fourth I get nothing like that anywhere in the rev range. Fun while it lasts as they say! Jspec Germany
I know, I know. When I was in high-school *f*ck that was a long time ago*, I had a first-gen RX-7, mildly modded and was racing a buddy's Moostang on a section of George Washington Parkway (delightful piece of pavement along the Potomac River in N. Virginia) just after midnight. After I disposed of his rotting carcas, I continued to motor around 80 mph. All of a sudden from behind, brights on high-beam and *insert usual suspects scene here*........... like that... he was gone. I was all alone in the darkness to sulk over the 740 turbo wagon that'd just put me in my place.

RedM
That's just crying out for a neon light bar and police inspired graphics HA HA and then, if he is ever caught speeding he can claim to be "testing the capabilities of my car".
pab_s
im sorry but the first car i drove after passing my test was a volvo 340 dl and alls that i can say is its the worst car i have ever driven by a large margin. It didnt have an acelerator but a volume pedal. It got louder the harder you pressed it. The steering wheel didnt have a direct connection to the front wheels I dont think. It was my mums car, I have just bought my first soop (cant stop looking at it/driving it) and I have insured my mum on it just so she can drive a proper car (thing is she is too scared to drive it). Enjoy your volvo. At least you can save for your next automotive wonder.

michael parker
At least ur ass will be warm during those wintry months in the volvo, the heated seats will be an advantage over the supe!!! (except the uk owners )
Dnk
Ive got a 94 L 850 Estate for my daily driver and its just superb, get just about anything in the back of it and it doesnt hang around, i want the turbo version next. Dnk
salvatore
Underestimate volvo's at your peril! My best mate has had em for ages, and every one he's had has been fast as fuck - just depends on the driver i guess. Went along with him to a dyno day organised by the volvo owners club, and 99% are just like us - friendly honest guys with a passion for thier cars. Well, there was one geek their, but it aint a perfect world is it?
Grazer
It's great sticking on the passenger heated seat and watching their face as they wonder wether they've pissed themselves
