How does that happen then?? :eek:

 

I am guessing that both uprights would be 100% identical, we are not talking production car tolerances here, there for both likely to fail in the same way.

 

With a fair weight of down force plus the additional stress of braking hard for a corner it look like they both gave way in the same way.

 

I guess its a balance between strength, longevity and weight and they got it wrong :D

Beyond being poorly designed? ;)

 

Apparently one failed, which meant the load on the other increased until it then failed.

 

They've supposedly decided not to use these "experimental" uprights for the rest of the weekend and have gone back to an old version.
