Does any one own one or the other what are the pros and cons of each etc...

There is a manual is200 for sale just around the corner from me and was thinking of getting it, but i didnt know weather parts for a lexus or a toyota are going to be the same seeing as they are the same car? ish apart from one being tuned.

I dont want to buy a car that has done 70k miles to find that 3 months down the line that it needs a new clutch etc...

Any comments accepted.

RWD so a clutch will be easy to do.

personally i would opt for a uk car as you get alot newer car for the same price paid on an altezza but the IS200 are slow and the altz has a beams lump in with a bit more poke.

Buy a uk one and pop an 3.0 2jz n/a in it, like the IS300 have

So your recomendation is to get the uk is200 and drop a is300 engine into it.

How much is that likley to cost as im not really made of money at the moment, also is it an easy process.

Its a supra 3.0 n/a engine bud.

So not alot of £ really unless you pay someone to do it for you.

Or dive both and see what you like. The IS200 is a nice place to be just plodding about.
