seba
The answer is probably somewhere out here on the forum but cant directly find...I'm buying a Supra this weekend odo and speedometer showing in miles. As i'm from Belgium i need them converted to km. The car is showing about 100.000 miles now if i convert it will it show 100.000km or 160.000km:rolleyes:? With the speedo I see no problem but how much would these 2 cost me to convert? I have no technical experience so doing it by myself is just looking for trouble. I know there are tutorials i've seen them but i'm not up for it. So ok...prices? and who can do it for me? Anyone who has time and is bored this weekend let me know Thx in advance

JustGav
I assume you have removed the speedo convertor so that it is back in kms.. In which case you will probably be able to find one, in fact I would have thought someone might even be willing to swap with you (especially if you can find one with similar mileage)
seba
I actually need to know if the mileage on odo is going to show 100.000km if I convert it from 100.000miles or is it going to show 160.000 km?
JustGav
No, they are pulse based, so the changing the resistor around to show km will not affect the reading, it will still read 100 000, just the km light will light up rather than miles. Chris Wilson
Yes, the reading won't change unless you change it electronically. Just removing the Km/h to MPH speedo converetr should have it reading back in metric.
