Handbrake leather

any ideas how much they usually cost nic?

I don't really want a momo one, I have replaced my gear knob with a brand new one from toyota so want matching new leather on the hand brake. Would like a new oem steering wheel too (airbag type) but guess that would cost a lot. Then again I guess I would only need the wheel as the airbag is in good condition.

I seem to remember it being more like the 100£ now, but stil, that is a nice price. You probably won't save a lot on getting the handle done by some leather upholstery shop. Unless you got someone who is good at stitching leather and glue... Shouldn't be the biggest problem in the world.

I'm also looking for an alternative as replacing the complete assembly just seems a bit excessive no matter what the cost.

Revarding a cheap option for a wheel. Look for 01-05 RAV4/Celica wheels from scrapyards. They are a direct fit and look much like the TRD wheel. They are without cruise (this can be added relatively cheap). If you can live without the airbag, toyota will supply a plastic cover for the center of the wheel. You can get these very cheap in plastic (a fried of mine payed roughly 30£) and get it fitted with leather or get a wheel originally in leather.
