Fitz
I'm hoping some of you tech guys can help me out with this one as its for a friend who has been having problems with his car for a while now. The car is a '05 plate Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 (Automatic) Now as most of you guys will know with auto cars they will 'creep' forward when 'stationary', this car has ceased to do so for reasons unknown. Also, to get the car moving you have to apply a high amount of gas and apply the revs at about 3k-3.5k in order to get it moving, although once the car is out of 1st everything is fine. Initially the first garage stated that it was two solenoids and they should be replaced, so they replaced them and no joy. Now another garage is saying that the ECU may be buggered. So its booked in with ford to check, I did suggest the gearbox but 'apparently' the gearbox is fine all levels are OK and 'tell tale' signs of a faulty gearbox and non existent. What do you guys think could be the problem?
