Jamesy
Just picked up a little run around, but the back bumper is a different colour to the car. Its only a cheapie so just wondered how easy it would be to grab a can of halffords spray and do it myself? whats the best way to do it? .... or would it look pony? cant be worse than it currently is!! Abz
What colour do you want to spray it? I would think if it was Black, White or Silver you could pull it off quite easily with a can of spray paint & a little bit of filler to get the bumper nice & smooth. JamieP
I find metallic colours impossible to spray, flat colours seem to always come out pretty well though with a rattle can.

Lee_e
Halfords rattle cans arent too bad i done a whole bodykit for my mate on his fiesta Best bet would be grey primer then coat then lacquer, Dry time is pretty quick aswell but will always look semi tacky due to it being self done and rattle cans lol go for it dude .... like you said its only your cheapy run about and to be honest people wont look at you in that like they do in your sup. shaky
flat it with 600 or 800 wet n dry, then you'll need to primer it,get a good body shop to match the paint, give it 1 or 2 thin coats, wait till dry, flat it 1 more time then give it 1 more coat even all over, then you'll need to lacquer it,this will take a few coats [4] it will look crap till you flat again then t cut up,most tins of paint are now water based, and are crap,by the time you have done all that you'll wish you had got someone else to do it,lol,i know because thats what i do all summer. soz about the spellingggggggg
ilicos
If the paint on the bumper is good, then just sand it down with 600 grit wet sand paper, wash, and spray on top of that. There isn't as much paint as you think in those cans so make sure you get 3-4 cans and apply the coats evenly and thinly (even if you see the other colour underneath for the first couple of coats do not be tempted to apply a thicker coat). 4-5 coats going on slowly will do the trick and remember to shake those cans for at least 3 minutes each before use and make sure the cans are at room temperature! Good Luck Edit: Too slow

marcAB10
i'd give it a go first at least, it may not be perfect but should look better than the big colour mismatch. it can't be much different than doing the dash panels and a lot of members have done that on here (inc me) and got acceptable results. As said, just take it slow and build up the layers lightly.
