bodilx6
As it doesn't have a fluid cooler as the EU/UK spec, when will it get too hot for its own good? Will it only be at hard track driving for extended periods or will it be on high speed auto bahn driving? Assuming the fluids are in good condition, should I worry at any time or? Thorin
It'll last the life of the car, survive any abuse you care to throw at it... Or about 20 minutes with Jamie P.
bodilx6
ok. Just that i've seen massive overheating on the engine oil during high speed runs, so I thought it might be an issue with the un-cooled dif as well..
JamieP
Mine has been fine since i gave up brake boosting and rolling burnouts.
Gaz6002
I lunched one doing a launch at the 'Pod once... but then nothing is truly indestructible, is it?
Terminator
The auto LSD is fine it will take big power. If you have mechanical sympathy it will last for ever. Repeatedly dropping the clutch in a multi-plate set up with a high torque engine will shorten its life considerably.
Lee P
Wheel hop will kill the diff very quickly so try and eliminate that, if your planning on tracking the car would be good to put a cooler on but not essential.
Chris Wilson
Stick a cheap K type thermocouple probe in the diff and see what temps the oil is reaching. Unless you are doing full on continuous race laps on a tight circuit, or a lot of track driving in the wet ( a real LSD oil warmer), or driving up and down, up and down de restricted autobahns all day, I wouldn't worry.
