jackso11
Opinions on engine bay solicone. I know this is an age old question but wondered what current thoughts where. A few people have replaced standard rubbers with black silicone lately and it looks really good. I am about to fit a top pipe on my rad and need new couplings. Should I go for blue or black for a black car? If I go blue I will slowly rplace lots of other bits with blue. If I go black I will still replace things but with black and only really when needed. Opinions please people
supra_si
how about purple, i think that would be great with a black car.. i personally wouldnt go with blue
Rob_Mitchell
i think black will look good keeps it looking stockish (if thats a word) and classy in my opinion. nice car by the way
jackso11
yeah but purple ends up being expensive as its not a 'standard' silicone colour. blue, red, black, seem to be the most commonly available options.

DaveR
Red, I reckon, rather than blue - that looks good with black cars. The purple idea that's been floated would look good, too and a bit different.
jackso11
yeah I was toying with red, including a red dash light conversion. Then I did the dash lights blue so thought black and blue under the bay would be good to match. Goign to stick black no and just replace tired parts with nice new silicone shiney black.
