robin
While driving yesterday the big red light in the centre of the dial came on. I pulled over, checked all the doors, boot and handbrake etc but to no avail. After stopping the engine and restarting it the light is off but comes on and stays on as soon as the brake pedal is pressed. The brake fluid was on max so I have topped it up so it is now slightly over max and the light still comes on as above. Disconnecting the little sensor on the fluid reservoir makes no difference. I didn’t check the error codes as it was starting to get dark but I will check for a code as soon as I can. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? The car drives and stops fine. ilicos
Edited because I did not read properly. Have you had the dash out recently?
robin
Edited because I did not read properly. Have you had the dash out recently? The dash has been out in the past but not for over a year.
robin
Try cleaning the connector? The connector that plugs in to the reservoir? Would it normally log an error or light up the MIL if it was just unplugged?
dangerous brain
Is there a brake pad warning sensor on the supra?

snake
i had the same problem ,one end of the filament in the brake light bulb was loose so the dash light would come when the contact was broken if it went over a bump.
