Graham S
Top fella for doing this mate. Ok my question is I'm N/A to TT so my vin plate states GE! Dose this mean I may get away with emissions?? I'd take the plug cover off first with the bit thats got 2JZ-GTE on it first! But yeah, should help! I'd definatley try that one. You just gotta hope the tester has no idea what a GE and GTE is!

TTRickeh
Do you know if there are any stipulations on how a number plate is attached to the number plate holder? i.e. tape, screws, velcro?
black_widow87
What are the chances of getting away with a screamer pipe for MOT? I did read somewhere that if you just remove the pipe from the wastegate they wont take any notice as its not seen as an exhaust 'pipe'. Tony
Do you know if there are any stipulations on how a number plate is attached to the number plate holder? i.e. tape, screws, velcro? Just has to be secure, double sided tape is ok or screws

tbourner
It's the DfT and VOSA that deal with MOTs, why would direct.gov have any new information? Current IM is as above in my other thread: http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/m4i00000001.htm Dated 1st Jan 2012.

Graham S
Sorry I seem to have missed a few of your requests, nothing flagged up on my laptop that anyone had posted. To clear up another grey area, regarding HID's, there is NO problem with them being fitted. Only stipulation is that if they are fitted FROM NEW (O.E part) then they HAVE to have working auto height correctors and headlight washers that work. Just wondering what this means for UK spec cars? Never even attempted to use the headlight washers so hope they work come MOT time but I'm not sure if the lights have auto height correctors fitted, would you know if they were fitted from the factory?
