catfish man
im driving over to bath from kent in the morning with a space saver on the sup to pick up some replacement alloys going via the m4 wont be any top speeds lol oh 2 and half hours i can not wait lol
Angarak
I thought space savers should only be used in emergencies and not for great distances? yahoo maps says kent -> bath is a good 160+ miles.
Scott
You aren't meant to drive over something like 40mph one one of them. I think the recommended distance is 20 miles.
edge
Not the best idea of the year. If its on the back it wont do the diff any good either. Huge risk to do that distance at motorway speeds even if you do take it steady.
Gaz6002
Usually 50 miles at 50mph max. Good luck you mentalist

What was the speed the space savers has on them? I really cant remember, but i do remember it was SLOW. Sure it was in kph on a sticker

Sure it was in kph on a sticker I am pretty sure the stick says 80kph as max speed. If you have to drive with the space saver just make sure you don't put it on the rear wheels, space saver should ideally only be used on front wheels. Rob
Its about that time we should remember the ex-member Tony Ball, iirc, who was advised not to drive his supra with a cracked alloy. He died when the wheel collapsed and killed a motorcyclist at the same time.

marc_p
I got a blowout driving home once, just got onto the M25 and bang, anyway, put the spacesaver on the front, then drove 250 miles at 50/55mph, although slow and boring, it got me home just fine

Whitesupraboy2
When I got a puncture and had to call AA out to put space saver on. He said it would be fine to drive home (110miles) as long as i was sensible and didnt go above 50mph and took it easy.

But the best part is that you encourage others, now thats really going for it.
