Scott
As per Alan's request. Ok, something stupid happening here. I have lost a lot of things ie I can only post a quick reply, I can't see icons such as post a reply; quote etc. I can't manage attachments or anyrhthing like that. In case you wonder why I put it in this thread that is because I have lost the option to start a new thread as well Jamie if you send your e-mail address to [email protected] I will send you the photos direct mate Meanwhile if somebody could tell me how I have f***ed this up and how to fix it I would appreciate it to add to my woes, I am not seeing any pictures (or anybodys avatars) either - and still can't start a new thread, could someone start one with this problem please

Scott
Yeah, no bother here either Gav. It seems to be Alan's PC. I think he knows that though.

Scott
Is it just the forum Alan? I'm thinking you may have disabled pictures altogether? 1. From Internet Explorer 7, click the "Tools" button. 2. Select "Internet Options". 3. When the "Internet Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Advanced" tab. 4. Scroll down to "Multimedia" and check or uncheck "Show pictures" as desired. Refer to the below screenshot. That is for IE7 but I'm guessing most browsers will be similar. AlanM
It is happening in both IE and Firefox though

Abz
Sounds like the issue could be with your PC or your account. How are you connected to the internet? Wireless? Wired? I presume you have tried rebooting and clearing out maybe cookies and history in IE?
AlanM
Yep, all re=booted and no different. My son was in and it is purely on this forum, other forums/webpages ok. He reckons quickest solution is for a mod to reset my profile to default as he can't access the correct options here
Scott
Ahh have you cleared out the cookies, temp internet files etc?

Before a mod defaults your account just click "log out". That will take everything back to the forum defaults, as well as having you logged out of the forum obviously. You will be able to browse certain areas as a non-member to gauge if it has had any effect on the things you can see. Avatars & buttons are all visible when browsing as a non-member, when you click them you get an error page. If you STILL can't see them then it is definitely a problem on your PC. Tried logging out/re-booting etc last night - made no difference. But I am sure now it is my PC cos I am at work just now and everything normal. Will see if it is the same when I go home or if I have to re-install IE and Firefox - funny it is both if that is the problem though. Maybe it will be ok as this is Thanks for all your help
AlanM
Just been reading about the problems caused by the AVG update. I had an update last time the computer was on and last night was the first time the computer had been re-started since. Maybe that is where my problem lies ......... Funny how Migweb forum was ok though, same shell as this one. Puzzling
