Kev.O
Finally made up my mind (I think). I want a Nur spec. I have double decats so will I need the cat back or just the back box Where can I pick one of these up the cheapest, been looking around at the usual places, just wondered if I missed anywhere. Bobbeh
You'll need a cat back exhaust system. Watch out for those speed bumps!
markrzs
Excellent choice:D you won't regret it. Try Envy.....sorry no link
Kev.O
I have listened to what you said Bobbeh, but after listening to this http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/merchant/catalogpics/mk4/vstimk42.mov I think I prefer the Nur. I know the ground clearance isn't great-I have speed bumps at the end of my road, but I'll just have to take it steedy and not give any big birds a ride
Homer
The NUR does sound very nice and its full stainless so will last a long while. The main problem with them is the ground clearance, its pretty poor. If you live in an area with a lot of big speed humps then you may want to rethink. BTW: If gound clearance isn't an issue then I'd go for the Tannabe, its simply the nicest exhuast I've heard and has a VERY straight 3.5 inch pipe from the 1st cat. Much cheaper than the NUR too! Kev.O
If it's from the first cat, won't I have issues being a UK
Homer
If it's from the first cat, won't I have issues being a UK Who is the question directed at? The guy I know with the Tannabe has a UK car and I think its from either the manifold or 1st cat pipe back (On 2nd thoughts I think he said it was from the manifold). His board name here is Leeky but you're best of contacting him on http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/ where he's a mod.
Kev.O
Sorry Homer that was directed at you. It's just that I've read a few threads about the o2 sensor and I get the impression it should be fitted (I could be wrong). I suppose some kind of work could be done to fit the bunge! SatSport
What about the HKS Super Dragger? How does it compare, clearance, noise level etc??
Kev.O
What about the HKS Super Dragger? How does it compare, clearance, noise level etc?? I'm not sure to to honest mate. There's so many to choise from.
Homer
The Dragger has good clearance and seems to be a fairly well made exhaust though a few people here have had rust problems with the early ones. They're much, much quieter than the current 'popular' ones like the NUR, RSR, Ti ones, etc.
Kopite
save a bit more and go titanium
Kev.O
I'm not sure what your Amuse sounds like ko, but like i said I think I prefer the Nur spec over the Veilside!
Kopite
there's a Greddy Ti which is quite popular too i had the Nur for a few months but then went Ti as Kev's was up for sale

Homer
The Greddy Ti is superb sounding and top quality (provided you don't crack it!), if you can afford it then do it! The only non-Ti that compares is the Tannabe which can be had for less than half the price.
Kopite
the NUR is a crackin exhaust don't get me wrong, if you do a lot of motorway driving then you might find the drone too much too bear - it was for me. that was the only downside to it IMO. otherwise it's superb. best thing to do is to listen to them in person if you can if at all possible. Kev.O
I was hoping to do that at Japfest, then I discovered my dad had FA cup tickets so I went to that instead. Now it's going to be ages before I get a chance!
Kopite
if you're a Man U fan i bet you were gutted! i know a few people on here have a Greddy Ti, can't think of any off the top of my head though. I think CJ has one but he's also got a single so that'll sound the dogs anyway!
Kev.O
Yeah I am, And yes I was Thanks for you help Ko
Kopite
no worries mate. like i said the NUR is a mighty fine exhaust (which is why it's very popular on here) except if you do a lot of motorway drivin, then it just depends how easily annoyed you are. try and have a listen to some of the Ti ones first though
terribleturner
kev, i love my Nur spec. It does dron abit as said before but it's fine and you'll love it. Alot of people say that it has poor ground clearnce, but in the year that i've had it on mine i've only once had a problem over a speed hump. merckx
I put a little bend in the long steel bar which is the middle bracket to lift it up a bit, never had any problems with speed bumps.
