Does anyone have 2 of the above to lend me for the forthcoming Supra trip to Denmark? The trip is from July 28th until August 1st and we have four cars going. We have managed to acquire 2 radios so far but could do with 2 more.

Any help would be much appreciated. :thanks:

Hiya Colin.

Hope you are well.

I only have one suitable one which of course I can lend you, i actually need to buy some more myself so if i get them before you go away which I'm sure I will you will be more than welcome..

Otherwise You can buy some they are very cheap...BT Freeway Twin pack with chargers are normally about £40..I will do a search and find the cheapest place to get them if you wish to buy some..

Regards

Argos are selling BT Freeways (Twin Set) for £49 inc VAT..includes headsets charging station etc.(thats if you want your own)

Maplin Charge £69 for the same twin set..

But...you could check out this list of Price beaters on Kelkoo...where they can be purchased for as little as £38 inc VAT + Delivery

http://shopping.kelkoo.co.uk/b/a/ss_bt_freeway_fm_quad.html

These have proven very reliable...and seem to have the loudest volume so you can hear them above a loud exhaust (which is essential) some of the others are very quiet.

They have the usual CTCSS Tone codes (which cancel out unwanted transmissions from people not in your user group..and seem to last a whole day one one charge.

Cheaper radios dont always have CTCSS and I feel this is essential otherwise you end up listening to other conversations and unwanted noise.

Prob be better to have your own set for all the Jap meets etc but welcome to borrow mine when i get the new ones!

I have a two way radio that I bought in the states at Best Buy. I wonder if it will be compatible with the radios you guys are using. Don't know the type off hand as I'm at work and have to dig it up later. I'll be bringing it on the roadtrip to Denmark though. Hope it works.
