Stratty
I had one of these fitted when I went N/A-TT but now have a problem.. When setting off from the traffic lights, I can hear quite a loud whining noise coming from the clutch. It also happens when I release the clutch pedal when changing down a gear when slowing down. I also get quite a loud squeek from the clutch pedal when I press it in and out. I took it to the garage and without taking the clutch apart, he reckons it is the clutch bearing but is unsure. I spoke to competition and they said the bearing may be worn but it was one they supplied and the clutch has only done 460 miles and has not been abused as it has to be run in for 500 miles. He suggested adjusting the clutch. Has anyone had a similar problem or have any other suggestions? I assume the clutch is adjusted at the pedal, is this right? Thanks guys.. Kirk
Id check the release bearing 1st as it sounds exactly like what your describing
sams
Could it be the little bearing in the center of the flywheel, if it was the release bearing you would feel a vibrate throught the clutch pedal
Kirk
For what its worth just start by changing both the release and pilot bearings and go from there.
