Chris Wilson
Before John Force became a cult figure on the US drag race scenr there was a chap called "Jungle Jim" Lieberman, and his side kick Pam Hardy. Despite not being a big fan of either American personalities or drag racing in general I vividly recall the show this pair put on, and the magazine coverage they got. I even saw them on the box a few times. In the days when motor sport was dangerous and sex was safe they cut a dash that is sadly lacking in today's antiseptic motor sport world. Can you imagine Button coming to the races with a bint like Hardy? I think Hunt was about the last to parade a bimbo with proper chauvinistic style. pedrosixfour
What a chassis, those flowing lines, those incredible curves and all combined with the hypnotising on-track presence. Car wasn't bad either.
Tricky-Ricky
Yes i remember him and them;) used to be very into the American drag racing scene when i was a lad, used to buy the magazines every month, in fact i really should have a decent hotrod myself considering my roots and influences. But i ended up in custom bikes instead, but i still like a good model T roadster or a 32 ford, was very much into Ed Big Daddy Roth.
