Geo
have you got 19'' wheels to go under? Unless you go for a Full UK brake setup, these packages are not worth it in my opinion dude, i was looking at something similar, spoke with a few people and unless you go for like a AP racing kit, then UK brake setup is the daddy until you save some serious cash. TopgunTT
If they are any good that is a very good price, I paid nearly double that for my Hi specs.
Guest Usmann A
i think that stoptechs are the best brakes you should consider them
Hassan
I have got a toyota aristo v300 now with 20" wheels. So size not a problem.I want big brakes but dont want to spend stupid money. £1000 - £1500 is ok.
Guest Usmann A
ok then stoptechs are pretty expencive
Wez
Many many moons ago HiSpec used my car for the Supra pattern, sadly the setup I had lasted one trackday, one of the issue with a none floating setup and ally bells, the stock setup worked much better. If I was looking into a replacement setup the only real options for me would be AP, Brembo, Alcon and possibly Stoptechs.

JustGav
If the caliper seals start leaking I will send out new seals to you free of charge Doesn't inspire confidence....
RobSheffield
LOL! If its just big brakes you want to see behind the phat 20" 'alloys' then you may as well go for the fake discs the Saxo boys use. No point scrimping on brakes imo. Go big or go home.
Hassan
How about Ksport?? Look i dont do trackdays.just go to the dragstrip now and then.I want something that fills up the space behind my 20" wheels but be better than the UK spec Brakes. jihwaan
For that money bugger it i would give am a crack TBH. hell it isn't rocket science with brakes- I know I am gonna get flamed but they are simply hydraulic pistons which need to withstand ceratin amounts of generated heat. (granted if I was tracking I would definately NOT use these but for general everyday driving and bling status why not?). That said I know people who have cooked brembo's on the track and the seals then leaked- admittedly the bloody discs looked like a turbo manifold after a hard run when this happened (glowing red like you see some of them race car pictures are).. I would just be a little more careful when driving spiritedly until I was 100% happy with their operation. Your life depends on your brakes when driving I know but I am just saying in all probability they will be fine- hell he even says in the listing you can use Brembo pads in them- all the asians do is buy one set of high spec brakes etc and reverse engineer them so in all likelyhood they are pretty close copy's of some other big name brand. Just my 02c and as I said I know I am gonna get flamed over it- but I do understand and stated earlier your life depends on your brakes so keep that in mind. But if you get some and find them ok PM me so I can get some lol- go the guinea pig...!! Does anyone know would these rattle like the reports I have heard about other cheaper 2 piece rotor kits? I know what you saying there mate but as you said your life depends on them. I don't like the way they don't even have a name, also there is alot of cheap crap coppies coming from asia. I seen a test with seats that when in a crash they just broke up. If it was me i would go for the ksport at least you know what your buying. Then again I have seen some bad stuff (chinese wastegates get stuck open - seats as you said just fold up in a crash etc). I suppose at the end of the day you have to realise its a 50/50 gamble- and with brakes, yes, it probably inst worth that gamble..
j_jza80
they look wiked lol. they might be absolute pants , but they look real good lol That's the problem with these big brake kits, made to a budget, not a specification. I would only ever look at reputable, proven brake companies such as Brembo, AP, Alcon, Stoptech etc, or maybe Wilwood if I couldn't afford the above (although I hear they're not great). I'd rather stock UK brakes than the like of D2, KAD, K-Sport, Hi-spec etc
michel lane
i changed my uk setup with G2 disks with 8 pot / 6 pot D2 . They were crap..... but then i changed the brake pads and they really stop well ...but then again i saved 500 against a set of AP , but had to spend 600 for new race pads... should have gone down the AP route...its the pads thats the key .. dude
I think the clue would be in the name of the brakes, bit like buying a parachute from the Acme chute company innit!!!

Its not just about track days, what about emergency stops - I rather go for something tried and tested, made to a high standard from a reputable brake specialist (Oh - I am running Toyota UK Brakes) You might want to punt it with yours and others lives, I rather not. imi
pedrosixfour
Buy a decent second hand set of a proven brand.

And I believe you are running toyota japan brakes that were standard fitment to UK supra's- or maybe yours are speshal and made by toyota in England- mine are Japanese Toyota brakes..- then again I dont know very much.. I run Nascar spec outlaw racing brakes on my other ride - I dont like the insinuation that I would like to gamble with my life or anyone elses... My point was simply dont dismisss something just because : A: its made in another asian country other than Japan B: you dont know much about it (every company has to start somewhere) and C: because they are cheaper than others... that said as I believe I inferred by my posts it probably isnt worth risking with brakes but if you are willing to do a little R&D yourself maybe they would be ok- maybe they would be cr*p.. maybe with a change of pads they would be as good as toyota UK brakes... flame away people...
