supspower
Is that a blue staff i see? Very surprised to see that in a rehoming kennels!! Cute looking staff A close friend has a male blue staff, has loooooads of energy and can be quite a handful if not trained properly while at a young age. But definately one of my favourite dogs! tbourner
Something to look into I suppose - and depends on the breed I guess as some get more bored than others due to their greater need for exercise etc. IMO you need to be ready to give time to ANY dog you get. Some breeds do need more than others but if you can allow at least an hour a day to spend with a dog, whether it be taking it for a walk or doing training or just playing; you will not have many issues with that pet. Having a dog and letting it run free in the garden should NOT be included in it's exercise for the day, even small dogs, they must go OUT to be walked. aman00123
Yea very surprised to see a bluey in a home, worth a few bob, mines a bluey too Mine's been brought up in the house so he hates being left outside alone for a long time, but loves walks (and pulls like a train, when i'm not walking him), important to get them trained up at a young age otherwise she won't want to listen, and contrary to what most people say staffy's are quite intelligent dogs!! Chris Wilson
Most rescue dogs from shelters are neutered, so as to not propagate the ever growing number of dogs in rescue, and to stop them being bought cheap for unscrupulous breeding by puppy farmers. I'd be very surprised if the dog is intact.
garethr
With being a female as well if you ever wanted to puppies in the future could be a good little money maker. Oh please god no. Why not? Because the UK's rescue centres are already full of Staffs. Because every time some stupid journalist writes another sensationalist, inaccurate, and poorly-researched "devil dog" article even more Staffs are abandoned. Because of all the idiots who parade around trying to look hard with what should be the friendliest dog in the world. Because said idiots will turn up at your house trying to buy the pups. Because people like me love Staffordshire Bull Terriers and could weep at what's happened to them over the last few years. And because, if you do it properly, it won't actually be "a good little money maker".

Fair doo's dont have a dog myself never looked into breeding, not too clued up on all the stuff you just said, so will retract my comment, was just going on what has been told by a friend and never made these things apparent to me so i appologise for saying what i said

Chris Wilson
We have bred from two of our (currently eleven) dogs in recent years, I cost it out similarly to running a race car, it was expensive and judged honestly, probably cost us a lot of money. We did it ethically though, with all thought on finding good homes and owners for what were difficult breeds. Done differently we could have made quite a bit, but my wife and I wouldn't have slept well if we'd sold to some of the plonkers that rang up. aman00123
Very true, it is hard to seel blue staffs to the "right" people too, as you get all the "puppy farmers" wanting them to make money, which i find diabolical, had mine for 3 years and I refuse to stud him out for that reason, even though he has a 7 year pedigree on him
