Jamesy
I use to run a 4" downpipe/midpipe with a GT35R/HKS manifold. One thing to note with a 4" system the ground clearance is reduced, especially if you have a V-band clamp between the mid pipe and exhaust. my car is so low it'd prob scrape everywhere lol Sounds good to me ... Go big or go home Difficult to tell if it will fit from the pic as the DP connects to the back of the turbo so it depends on the angle of the turbo when connected to the manifold. Nice looking manifold. Are you bracing it? go big or home .... i recall suprahuman saying he wished it would fit his kit when u advertised it .... And im buying his kit so thats what makes me think it wont (u can always just leave the kit at lee's when he's fitting the turbo to see if it'll go on lol ) not sure about the bracing thing tho
JamieP
I'll be heading back to the rolling road very soon with the fully functioning cutout (all fitted now) so I will post up what changes there are with 3" vs 4" from a back to back test. If Homer's experience is anything to go by I could be well into the 600's which will be a nice suprise Tubo housing will be a 0.81 as before. 4" dp mp mate? you keeping it straight or lots of bends? dandan
lol - then i'd DEF have to get a 4" exhaust - Lee mentioned you can go up in size exhaust from the MP, but not down! another excuse to get the BL cat back!! Up until about a week or so ago, I was running a 4" DP and MP and going down to 3" after the midpipe with the V band to 3" 2 bolt adaptor
dandan
4" dp mp mate? you keeping it straight or lots of bends? DP and MP have always been 4" and with recirculated wastegate. Last rolling road session on that setup (569bhp) was with the 3" exhaust which has loads of bends, three silencers and areas where it goes down to 2.875" ....it couldn't really look more restrictive. The 4" exhaust I have on now is a modified version of this 3". Basically I replaced the first 3" silencer with a big 4" silencer and added an electric butterfly valve right after it. When that valve opens I have 4" from the turbo back, with one straight through 4" silencer dumping straight out with no need to flow through the 3" section. Nic
Lee mentioned you can go up in size exhaust from the MP, but not down! I also ran a 4" dp/mp connected to a 3" Greddy exhaust without any problems.
