Guest hellreign
Hi all, i'm Iain. Joined the club a little while ago so thought i'd best get in gear and do this. i don't own a Supra (at the moment) as money is an elusive thing i currently own two Celicas (and ST and a GT- long story). I'm in Dorest. Really do want to get a Supra when possible, even the GF agree's on that one, just need to get the funds together. So far i've spent too much time lurking in the classifieds section just a few pic's of what i'm driving at the moment: cheers

Guest hellreign
so whats the plan? sell them both and get a Supra? i had that thought a few time you know bud i think i'm going to have to try to (learn how to) save some money up, then sell my GT to cover the the rest the GF's become very attached to the ST, even tho its a nightmare. Annoyingly, the ST's worth more than the GT cheers for the welcome guys

DSK
Welcome. With 2 celica's you should be able to nip to a dealers and try out a Supra or two and get to know them a little better or get yourself along to some of the Supra meets. Best of luck with your search. Fwiw, I used to love my Celica's had several St162-ST182/ST185 models (the ones and last of the ones with the pop up lights). Loved the drive, reliable speedy engines, decent ergonomics and equipment and practicality. With the Supra, its a step up in performance (with turbo models), the cars are still as easy as the Celica to drive, on OE 17" wheels I found the ride to be much better than the Celica's, a little bit more equipment and technically more advanced as a performance car. Only downside is, if you use the Supra as a daily driver, it won't be as practical (in terms of boot space even with the seats down) as the Celica but the fuel consumption, IMO, is excellent when driving normally. Guest hellreign
Thanks for the info DSK The only downside for me that i can think of is that a supras rear seats look pretty much unusable once driving positions are set up. I occasionally have four people in the celicas' and they just about fit if i remember correctly, an N/A Supra puts out about the same BHP (if not a bit more) as a GT-four, so personally i'd be very happy with an N/A in v.g.c. i'm not a massive massive speed freak just love the car. Unfortunately, both celicas' have there bad points. The ST, although mechanically sound (i call it a new car in an old suit) is pretty grubby on the interior and exterior (paint damage, bit of rust, scratches etc) The GTs in the smae boat, great mechanically, bad paint work, but much cleaner inside, so i'd still need to save a bundle to get to a Supra or a loan...... da da daaaaaa. we'll see cheers
