So you think a Supra driveshaft is dear?

Porsche aficionados are a funny lot, they like genuine factory bits, especially rare bits. I had two sets of taper wound Ti 956 springs years back that I just acquired in a job lot of race springs and was amazed to sell them for a very nice profit to some American fan to put in a display cabinet in his lounge. They were quite pretty and were very hi tech at the time.

This one is around the 900K / 1.2M Sterling mark, several have sold at auction way over £750K in the last few years, depends on history and condition / spares package.

A very nice Nissan Group C car (Lola chassis) went for £850K in 2009. The buoyant historic Group C race series has pushed the price through the roof for the gorgeous cars that can make an F1 look slow through the corners.

Sure they race them, if you have never seen a proper Group C car from the late eighties / early nineties running you have missed one of life's treats. Awesome things with unbelievable amounts of down force. Here's the series web page, there's an ex works Mercedes running again this season, God knows what that's worth :)
