adnanshah247
personally i think the veryron is a way over engineered car. i mean there motive was simple, be 1000hp (yes that was a design requirement) and out gun the mclaren.
marc_p
Veryrons have close to 1000bhp.... and run 10.2 1/4 miles. Yes, but as I was saying, you have to pass a course to be able to have 1000bhp, the majority on the road are 750bhp, oh and Jamies ran a 10.9 and that is with poorer grip off the line than the Veyron, so over a mile? pezzler
Don't forget though that most Veyron's on the road will be running 750bhp, as you need to pass Bugatti's course to get it unlocked to the 1000bhp. I hear superchips are doing this for £64.99.....
Bobbeh
Interesting you say that (Marc), when apparently the lead designer of the car thinks that 1000bhp is an under-estimate and most put out more... This is an interesting video, says a bug did 0-200mph in 24 secs and a standing mile @ 204mph, 6 mph more than LeeP's 1000 hp Supra. http://www.streetfire.net/video/bugatti-veyron-vs-tt-viper-standing-mile-0200-mp_129253.htm A car with only 750 bhp and weighing a lot more would not have a top end as high as that. Dr_Doom
Jamie had a play with a Veyron a while back but was only running 550bhp back then N559PMoMDyI
