Scott
What version of windows are you running? You can use your soundcard to record anything you hear. Its generally called a stereo mixer in recording options.

Scott
Vista, its a pretty crap laptop tbh though! Right click on your speaker icon and click "recording devices". Right click in the window "Show Disabled Devices". You should see "Stereo Mixer", if you do, enable it and set it as the default. From there, anything you play can be recorded directly with the recording program in accessories, entertainment. This is all off the top of my head so some directions may not be 100% accurate.
