Oil Coolers

I have a new cooler going on the Supe for the auto transmission.

However as its a UK car there is a factory fitted cooler on the nearside. I wish to relocate this to where the original SMIC used to be.

Do i relocated the original AND fit the new cooler in series? Or just re-route the feed lines and fit the new one on its own?

 

The reason im moving it is to install an engine oil cooler, filter relocation kit and stat to the nearside.

if you've got the room mate i'de fit em both, out of interest does the auto cooler have a stat on it ?

Im not sure if theres a stat on the original as i have'nt got under and traced the lines fully yet? And i cant find an exploded diagram of the UK system?

 

If anyone else knows please advise?

Hi geeza, did you manage to fit your oil cooler? Did you mount it where the old SMIC used to be? Reason i ask is that i just purchased a mocal oil cooler kit and need some advice or pictures to help me on my way

Thanks Paul mate , me being the lazy sort didn't do a search before i posted but i found some pics on the forum(splumph ). Some good pics and info from SimonB and the rest of the bunch.
