Geo
So since i missed out on buying Rob's Bocsh 044, im now wondering is it worth just buying another walbro and having 2 rather than going with the 044. Can someone shed some light on the 2 setups please?? cheers
JamieP
Buy another walbro if you want much over 600bhp.
hodge
We'll soon find out what a Bosch 044 will do cos that's all i've got fitted so I guess I'll be maxing it out to see.

dude
My opinion for what its worth is that the 044 is NOT designed to be an in tank pump, it designed to be external. I would go with twin walboros, I run 3 on mine.
Chris Wilson
044's run in tank in countless single seaters with no issues at all. It is just a higher flowing version of myriads of similarly designed Bosch pumps, many of which run in tank in thousands of road car. Can't see why there could be an issue? Unless you need a swirl pot and the associated complexity a single 044 in tank makes a nice sanitary installation and you know if it stops, as the engine will, too. With dual pumps you may run lean if one croaks.
