monsween
Think my turbo's might be dead There are two clips attached in the zip files, have a listen and see what you think. There is a whistle when a little bit of throttle is aplied, nothing on idle and when on boost (ridiculously small boost cause i dont know whats wrong) im getting compressor stall (think thats the term) Its been underperforming lately. Split hose? Dead turbo's, etc etc..... EDIT: Forgot to mention its running bpu levels. Stock BOV aswell.Car clip (air suck).zipCar clip.zip Edited March 24, 2010 by monsween (see edit history)

jevansio
For anyone wanting to listen, just rename the zipped m4a file to mp4. I'd start with looking for leaks TBH

michel lane
sounds like a pipe has popped off somewhere. It may look like its on , but look closer.
pistonbroke
it doesn't sound like it's turbo related to me from them clips. The noise is directly related perfectly to engine speed. I'd check the pulleys at the front, then I'd remove the aux belt and run it again. If it's affected performance, check your viscous fan isn't sticky. monsween
Cheers guys, car is off the road anyway now for a few months and already decided on getting a set of new turbo's just incase they were goosed. Anything else to check? Are the hosetechnique sets any good? May just replace all the hoses while its parked up
miko_supra
I can't view the files. You tried turning the traction control off? Mine was playing up and coming in all the time therefore not making any boost.
