Lude
push the button, the drivers side mirror will fold in, but the passanger side wont. the odd thing, is that the passanger mirror does work when you move it up & down etc? is this common? i asume there must be 2 seperate feeds for each mirror, 1 for the fold, and 1 for the direction? Scott
Yeah as above. I've had this trouble a few times due to it being bumped etc. Fire up the car (with the mirrors out as normal), gently push in the mirror, use the button to fold the mirrors in and then see if it will fold out with the drivers one. Lude
ok, so go down the route of a physical problem rarther than electrical, ive physically moved them in, but not the same time as the switch pressed. will apply a bit of encouragement to it on the weekend
Scott
Noooooo you might break them. Push in the non working side only. Start the car and then push the botton to retract the mirrors (the drivers side will move in on its own. Rock the switch the other way to extend the mirrors... hopefully both will go out. Try a few different combinations to make sure you cover all the bases. If you get absolutely nothing then I would say the motor is away, and yes it is seperate from the mirror adjustment motor. Suprab1
or get someone else to press the botton while you give the mirror a little help thats what i done. Whatever you do don't push to hard, its better to have a mirror not folding than having a mirror on the ground
toplad
I had something similar. Turned out the people who installed my ICE cut a wire to one of the mirrors in the process!
Lude
ok thanks, will gently see if theres any life in the motor. failing so will check all wiring to it is intact (maybe even run a fresh supply to it to test) then if not new mirror/motor
