They should do - trading standards if not!

I remember a while ago I nearly bought a £15k mixing desk for £1500, I didn't have the cash in the bank, and by the time I did, they'd bloody changed it!

Did you get any joy from Trading Standards?

I can't imagine that TS would want to get involved in something like this though: it's clearly a typo on the website. Until a customer gets an email confirming the order has been placed, the customer wouldn't have a leg to stand on. After the email has been received, not sure: still wouldn't fancy someone's chances of forcing a sale at the knock-down price though. :)

I vaguely remember that if it's a genuine mistake on the pricing, then the seller can still charge the correct price.

I imagine in an online purchase case, the buyer would either be offered a full refund or asked to pay the remainder.

I seem to remember the whole "you advertised it at this price so you must sell it at this price" was a bit of an urban myth.

Would be good to be wrong though! :)

No email to state its cancelled or anything else. It did say 'out of stock' though.

Not totally sure i actually want to fly for 20-30 whole minutes in an R22 though!

I suspect the pre-flight checks/landing shutdown palaver will take a good chunk of that 20-30 minutes up.

Whether you're up in the air for 5 minutes or 20 minutes, it'll be a good experience and one that you can't beat for under £18!

Assuming it stays in the air long enough!

I did some looking at a local airport, and doing a heli licence in the R22 is dirt cheap, then i found out how many fatal accidents occur in them every year :(

It's not that good a deal.

Standard introductury lessons are 30 minues and off the top of my head I know of a school charging £140.

The tacho in the R22 starts turning over as soon as the engine is started so you're looking at about 25 minutes flight time or there abouts.

The R22 isn't that dangerous as such, it's more that it's quite difficult to fly due to it's size and most R22 accidents are down to pilot error rather than machine failure.

My thoughts too, you'd have to pay me to go up in one of those :p

I've flown a JetRanger briefly and it was awesome.

Also, A guy that lives in a farm down the road from my house uses a R22 to commute. - Lucky git! Its always parked besides his feild and I've always fancied a mini photoshoot with my Supra.

I thought the R22 was easy to fly due to the high rotor shaft and pendulam effect.
