stinboy
Don't buy the first one you view. That's what's always said, and is standard advice. However (and I'm not looking at at selling - there's no angle here!), I bought on my first viewing. Admittedly, I took along some proper motor knowledge (not a member, or a supra owner, but a good friend who knows performance cars), all the info the club gives (the then owner must have had about 5 cups of tea whilst I went through the list!) and searched for 2 years until the right car came along. I paid a fair bit of cash, certainly with prices as they are now. But, in two and a half years of ownership, I have had no problems apart from a slipping clutch. Which, in hindsight, needing to have it replaced put me in touch with CW and had the BPU done too. Never looked back. So, and I apologise for the long post I'm getting carried away, but what do we think? Are we putting off potential new supra owners?sellers? Pete
My advice has always been (for any car) to view a few to get a good idea of spec differences and quality. It's easy to go all misty eyed at the first one you see.
