JamieP
That's a bit of a bummer, won't be getting rid of mine any time soon either, I suspect it'll strike me out of most events from now on Shame about the screamer pipes ..... I know but any decent exhaust shop (powerflow is doing mine) its very easy to make them so that they can bolted in or out via a couple of 2 bolt flanges and a blanking plate. After the event you can go back to screaming all you like. Most tracks/airfields are the same now so if you want to do this or our own supramile event you guys need to sort out your screamer pipes. I will do that, a swappable pipe & a blank for the road/track

Guigsy
"anti radar paint" rofl. thunder road was great. i'd do it again. although i would stress that it puts more stress on your car than a 1/4 miles does. Brakes particulary... as i found out
AlexM
That certainly wasn't something you'd expect to fall off Adam, best make sure your calipers are firmly attached next time..

jevansio
Exactly how hard do you need to brake at the end? At Vmax I recall having to stamp on the brakes pretty hard, even if I had the power I don't think I could have gone any faster due to the UKs being on the limit? JamieP
Plenty of braking distance mate and there is run off, good idea to give the brakes the once over before you go though.

Guigsy
yeah there is plenty. I wouldnt like to try it with jspecs on a tt though! I was useing the uk specs prety hard. although if i needed to use them more there was plenty left to give. The problem i was having was trying to slow down gradualy then seeing where the end of the runway was (very disorientating as its so wide and your going so fast) and having an "oh crap" moment and having to throw out the anchor!
