The guys in the US race with near stock front ends, you ever thought about swapping one on for the sake of a new MPH over the modified versions?

 

Would probably make a bit of difference at high speed. Also, may be worth running without the stock spoiler if there's plenty of run off after the line (quite scary trying to slow from top end without one!)

Funny thing with my speedo, ive always thought it was pretty good, compared to my satnav its only 5mph fast at 100mph, ive gone accross the line and seen 228mph on my speedo:d 38mph out at them speeds, looked impressive on the dashboard, shame it was'nt real:d

 

You will need a T6 turbo and 3 bar to see that for real JP, nice results lads can't wait to have a go myself.

Not so sure dude, a smaller T6 and 3.4 will prob spool like mine does now with the 76 DBB and thats pretty good, its the ability to run 3 bar that you need for these top speed challenges.

Would a Supra running without the extra downforce of the rear spolier not aid the top speed run ??, also would lowering the car to the max setting on adjustable suspension also help ?

Show me a T6 setup that spools like this and ill be interested, this is a 3.0L and this one has bigger cams and a bigger hotside than my 76 so im hoping to spool even quicker, that graph is RWHP.

Without the spoiler they tend to 'wander' a little over 170 but aside from that dont seem too bad, very stable with the rear spoiler on though noticeable difference.

Couple R35 gtr's there, both got 16Xmph, also porsche 997 turbo was 16Xmph, just shows how good the supras are.

 

I am assuming that those were standard 997 TT in which case dont they only push 420 odd bhp.

 

should be a good comparison with a BPU supra.

Thanks mate, its set to 7250rpm but running same internals in my diff as an Auto

Ok, havent seen the pics yet.

 

A Fair comparison would have been to see a similar power level (or atleast within 50bhp) Porsche compete with a Supra - just to see which one is more slippery and truly quick.

 

Perhaps it has already been done.....

Two different cars mate, dont think anybody is trying to compare them.

 

The other way to look at it is what they are worth, im sure the porsche is worth more than my car but i still beat it by about a 100 car lenths:D Porsche turbo really was no competition for my supra, wish i got it on video, he had me off the line then i left it for dead.
