C33JAY
Gaydon is the future ! a facility combining everything rolled into one ! the building is in beautiful surroundings and when entering the foyer its top class with Marbel everywhere. The manufacturing facility which is part of the entire Office / Customer Service complex is so unusually quiet (No Photos allowed) DB9s in various stages of assembly everywhere, what a sight. Two Baby Astons were going through final tests in another part of the factory which was has big has the DB9 part but empty of any manufacturing equipment, the start of manufactuing is due in the Summer (Watch out porsche) the only thing that might let it down is the price £ 80,000 - £90,000 & not £70,000 like a lot of the mags advised readers, what a gorgeous motor so agressive looking and the rear arches look like they are sitting with you :o) & I sat in it lol yeah I pretended to drive it :o) Anyway you can only be impressed by the facility / the people and atmosphere which combines Astons History & future they have got the balance spot on. This detail did it for me .... we come to the end of the tour of the manufacturing facility and were looking @ 30 x DB9s none of which had had there final checks before delivery to the customers .... only when they have Passed the final check & everything is perfect do they get there Wings (badge) put on the front & Rear ... Nice Touch :o) As for driving the DB9 for over an hour in a convoy & at times seperated when we booted them words fail me :o) the paddle shift the drive by wires is nothing like ive ever driven just so bloody precise and the sound of the engine / exhaust .... better than Sex lol The grin on my Face tells all :o) Rgds Chris http://img215.echo.cx/img215/2701/0016sj.th.jpg http://img215.echo.cx/img215/695/0024gq.th.jpg http://img215.echo.cx/img215/9707/0034vw.th.jpg http://img215.echo.cx/img215/6024/0043pp.th.jpg
