adnanshah247
i was told you have to run the car on cheap oil to get it run in. not an expert but when i had an engine done on my sisters honda i had to put the crappest junk in and then after a few miles had to get it all out and put good stuff in. caseys
http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=180551&highlight=mineral+oil Mineral oil for the run in seems recommended, there's a few threads about it and tDR's post stuck in my mind a while ago reading about it
ellis
When I had mine rebuilt on my last Supra I was advised to use normal mineral multigrade - these engines were designed well before synthetic all was around and if used before the engine has bedded in will pass by the piston rings and pop the front crank seal out - twice in my case before the 'error' was spotted!!!
