Carl
My ceramic turbos have seen better days judging by the missing tips of the ceramic blades so I will be needing to have them rebuilt with steel turbines etc. I know there are many companies that will happily rebuid a pair of turbos for about £1000 but from experience which comapnies are best? Can anyone recommend from experience or word of mouth? cheers Carl
Swampy442
CR turbos have a good rep in the Soarer world. and a good deal less than a grand
pistonbroke
Yup, I did a thread a few months ago where I contacted all the refurbers that people recommended on here. CR turbos came out with a good rep and were the cheapest by about £200. Cost to have them reconditioned with new seals, uprated steel internals and balanced.....£600 Blackwatch has had his refurbed by them and he's happy with the results. Mine will be getting sent over there when I can get them removed
Hoppy
CR Turbo Engineering also recently re-built my T04Z, and they did a great job.So i can't recommend them enough

Hoppy
Oil was seeping through the seals, causing it to smoke like hell. They stripped + cleaned everything, then fitted new upgraded step gap oil seals and performed a mod to make the oil flow better. They rebuilt + re-balanced the turbo for £490 delivered back to me.This price included a 1mm oil feed restrictor adapter, to limit the feed of oil to the turbo.Garrett recommend this adapter for DBB turbo's. Carl
thanks guys, I always prefer to hear good feedback especially where turbos are concerned as there are some horror stories out there. I will email them my requirements. Carl

BOB B
Glad I came across this, I have a spare set (UKs) and I think the ones the on the car are starting to go, occasionally I get a small howl from number 1. So I think I'll give them a bell and see what they can do. Bob.
