Miguel
I shouldn't laugh, but I have a cousin in N.Ireland currently stuck with 800 litres (and rising) of old chip oil, along with the required equipment to convert it to Biodiesel, but unable to acquire methanol for the process. Seems to be a problem getting hold of it over there for some reason Needless to say he is getting it in the ear from his missus because the house is starting to smell like a frying farm. So does anyone know of anywhere either in N.I, or over here, that can supply 25-30 litre quantities of Methanol at a reasonable cost? bondango
No Miguel, but apparently lots of the Bio Guys over here use them. For meth injection we source from the Model shop (Belfast) Regular Str (85% meth) but its only small quantities, Though a fraction of the Price of Sunaco @ £65 for 25L!! he could try Albion Chemicals Ltd 8 Seal Road Belfast BT3 9LL (MAP) County Antrim Telephone 028 90787450 Fax 028 90787451 Website http://www.albionchemicals.co.uk Problem is the Goverment has cracked down so hard on Supplies of most chemicals used in any sort of fuel preparation..even though joe bloggs could have bought 2 ton of fertiliser 15 years ago with no questions asked
Miguel
Thanks Marty. Apparently he has already tried Central Chemicals but they won't sell it to him. I reckon he's just not asking right, that or his shifty looking face is putting them off:d I'll pass all the info on; why he doesn't phone you to ask is beyond me. LOL, yeah, blame it on the fertiliser
