Tiptronic steering wheel with cruise control

I'll have the non-cruise control one if you decide to sell :)

If I don't find a trade, and buy another, you can have first dibs, it's a good un :)

I need the Tipronic buttons to control the Suprastick flappy paddle gear change, but since modifying the engine, cruise at 100mph is only 1mm pedal depression and cruise at 70mph is around .5mm.

With such a fine tolerance, it has become difficult to regulate cruising speed. My Supra already has the loom, so now adding cruise control.

If I can't find one, will take the controls from a standard 4 spoke and 'splice' it in to this one.

I may be wrong, but the Tiptronic cars (or any facelift) never came with cruise.

So you wont find a tiptronic wheel with cruise options on it.

Keron informs me that there are Tiptronic wheels with cruise control.

If anyone knows, he does. :)

He also informs me that he recently sold one to a member, but can't remember who.

As my my first post.......... If this member is not utilising the cruise function, maybe he would be willing to trade with mine.

If I can't locate one, will take this control function from a non Tiptronic wheel, and marry to the one I already have.

I'm with you on that one, my RSP certainly never had cruise control either, and I've not seen any with it..

BUT hey what do we know.....

Come to think of it mine doesn't have cruise control either and its an RZ (one with all the toys AFAIK). I have the 4 spoke though.

Mmmm, interested to know if your car has the loom for cruise?

Large round grey socket on inner wing, close to brake master cylinder.

Have you looked at the Lexus steering wheels? They're pretty much the same and maybe some had cruise control? Carl0s put one in his car.

Thank's for that idea.

Took a peek at Carl0s's profile, but no car shots.

Will see what Lexus has to offer, but starting to look like marrying the control arm to the wheel I have is favourite.

No rush, will hold out for a while, have plenty of more important jobs to do.

I have had a poke around, and as long as there are enough contacts in the 'whirlygoround', it looks to be a simple enough job to marry a cruise control control, to my existing wheel.

Will start a new thread.

Anyone need the innards for an airbag?

Did the steering wheels come out of a VVTi TT car?

I would love to have cruise on my car, it is the one thing it is missing but I have never seen one with it. I know it is possible having read about the fly-by-wire throttle system having cruise capabilities, but just never seen a car in the UK with Toyota fitted cruise.

Would love to be wrong as it means i might be able to retro fit it.
