Last night's AVG update

Mmm - I had an update of AVG last night just before I had my forum problems and lost all my icons/avatars etc

Another Avira convert here - been using AVG for years, ran the recent update and found my machine was disconnecting from the Internet at regular intervals. Checked settings to see if anything new had been introduced in AVG, monitored processes etc... nothing unusual.

 

Uninstalled AVG, installed Avira, numerous threats detected and no dropouts since.

 

AVG always used to struggle with an eicar test too which didn't make me too confident of it's abilities, Avira seems to do the job as expected.

 

Try it and see what your AV solution does...

Just AVG (now replaced by Avira) and ZoneAlarm for me, plus I'm behind a hardware firewall. That's been sufficient for years up until AVG decided to stop working.
