Ps3 Heavy Rain

The controls are alright, I really like the effort put into this game. However, I don't think that your actions really affects the whole story. I tried two different playstyles but I don't notice anything much different. So far it feels scripted.

Still an awesome dark game though ;)

oooooh, if you play your cards right, there are boobies to be seen too! And before you go "yeah they are all pixels etc" the models ingame were actually very acurately modelled from live human actors. You can unlock the videos to check it out.

I downloaded the demo off of PS3 network and couldnt decide if it was genius or rubbish. Looks amazing though

My thoughts excatly

... do I really want to shake the controller like a numpty to get the geezers inhailer ready

Although the bit with the DNA specs in the field is quality.

Will buy it sometime, but will wait for the price to drop abit more. Still got 8 games I've not opened thanks to COD :flame::complain: So addictive.

i did it in about that time aswell, but the idea is to then play it differently!

i just thought it was outstanding! and the graphics were amense!

Agreed. Completed it in about the same amount of time.

Will leave it a few months and then maybe have another crack at it and see how different the plot can be. Hope it doesn't end up with just the same story line with only small deviations...

Sorry to bring this thread back up but thought I'd share what I thought with me eventually getting through acouple of play throughs so far.

As said, first 3-4 chapters are pretty basic. Finding your feet with the control mechanism and how the game plays as a whole and setting the story. Fortunately, this can be skipped on multiple play throughs so it doesnt get too tedius.

Without spoiling it, all I can say is I am glad i got this eventually and even though I've gone through it twice - currently on my third, i haven't got bored of it 1 bit and found that various decisions help you see how something got where or what happened to someone else etc as you get to play the scenes. Everyone knows there are various endings to this game (22minor & 8 or 9 majors I think) and I intend to at least see the majors.

As all the trophies are hidden and I've had acouple of play throughs I've started to read what trophies are related to doing what and to be honest Im glad I did or I would never have got some and there is also a gold trophy which Im currently working on which is an entire playthrough again carrying out certain actions and completing certain tasks in particular ways, this is called a Perfect Crime trophy so I'll leave you to think what that might entail.

For those who gave up or got fed up and for those who left it after initially completing I would highly recommend picking it up/playing through again. Some of the alternate scenes I have had have been cracking.

Thats my tupence worth anyway :D

Cheers

Gaz

Edited to add: You can play the game on the easiest difficulty setting if you wish as there are no rewards for doing it on the hardest settings. The easier the difficulty, the more time you get inbetween button presses in sequences and the more incorrect buttons you can press in a sequence although it may take some of the intensity away.
