robin
I was cleaning out the pond on sunday when I found this on the lawn in the back garden. Does anyone have any idea what type of animal its from? It looks pretty big for something like a fox or cat to have dragged there... Edit: Warning, its a photo of a nasty bit of bone, don't click it if your eating your lunch. JustGav
Lesser spotted Water Buffalo... Not usually found round these parts but they make HUGE holes when they go through the fences.

Rob
That's a pelvis and lower spine isn't it? You need Animal CSI.
robin
That's a pelvis and lower spine isn't it? You need Animal CSI. That is what it looks like. I did kick it over and you can see the hip joints on the other side. Don't we have any animal CSI specialists on the forum?

robin
can you put a hamster in the pic for size referance. I would have to say it was about 30-40CM in length. Unfortunately the only hamsters I have available are Russian/dwarf ones and therefore no good for size references.

ilicos
Probably a small deer. The foxes would have dragged the carcus there.
