Dim Sum
I know this thread might sound silly, but i thinking of increasing the height of the ride has around my area there's quite a few speed bumps and currently at some i can hear it scrape the bottom. Would anyone know what height i should aim for? I dont want it too high or too low. 40mm front and back. ?? good/bad.
Jake
40mm over stock? That would look ridiculous. Do you have a standard exhaust? It's probably a badly designed or fitted aftermarket exhaust that's grounding. If so, you might do better getting that sorted out.
Dim Sum
I'm not really sure about the exhaust, maybe you are right but not just that, the front lip catches at time that why i would like a slight height increase. Just looking for opinion, so if i carry it out what height wouldnt make it look stupid/ridiculous
Nic
What suspension do you currently have fitted?
Jake
The stock front lip? Does it have stock suspension at the mo? Stock suspension is pretty high at the front anyway.
Dnk
Post a pic of your car from the side so we can see how high it sits would be a good idea.
Dim Sum
I've been to Garage Whifbitz and they said its been lowered. Does anyone know the standard high for supra?
Purity14
Raise it more than that and it will look very silly..
Chiefgroover
errr..doubt those wheels were designed for the Supra. offset +80?
RobSheffield
It has an aftermarket lip, either remove that, or avoid the speed bumps.
Nic
If it has lowered springs on, you could swap them for a set of stock springs.
Dnk
Get a set of stock na springs and swap them over

Chris Wilson
It's at a sensible ride height now, the best option is to take that lip thing off under the front bumper. But you don't want to do that, do you?

InSvain
first check if your shocks are still working properly maybe they are worn out and also get some bigger and better rims

merckx
Out of interest, what size tyres do you have on the car?
Chiefgroover
Bigger wheels are not going to raise the ride height. Yeah, I think everyone knows that Nic, but the car is an embarrassment to the Supra community with those wheels.i Supra image is bad enough................ Dim Sum
I will get another set of wheels. Just want to make sure the car is running fine before i do visual mods.
nick_karkie
As (not has) someone pointed out, your wheels are definitely the wrong offset for a supra and that makes the gap between the wheels and arches seem bigger and subsequently raising the ride height will make it look terrible.
