Abz
Funny you should put this thread up Dean, I like to think I am fairly young at 25 but I think starting working at the tender age of 15 is starting to catch up with me. I am currently at home (Have been for the past week) bed bound due to tearing the ligaments in my ankle. I did the same last year when I started getting back into football but it wasn't as bad as this time round as I had to be collected by ambulance. In almost 15 years of playing football (10 of which were pretty much everyday) I never had one injury, I hardly warmed up and played full 90 minute games without skipping a beat or even feeling tired. Since getting back into football again last year I started off the pre-season games (Hadn't been playing for 4 years) with playing 15 minutes & then almost passing out! Though now 8 months on I can play a full 90 minute game (sometimes) without me passing out or legs cramping up and me crying like a girl. To give you guys hope (Including you Dean) some of the guys I play football within in the London Legal League (Closet you get to playing proper football without the WAGS) are hitting 40's and they in fantastic shape. Very strong, fast and have loads of energy! My injury takes me out for 6 weeks but hopefully I'll as fresh as a daisy for start of season! Do not give up yet!
