recoil
Hi, I don't own a Supra (but would like to). I've seen a supra for sale at my local breakers yard and I was just wondering whether the interior is supposed to be all leather? The one in the yard is an L reg and the back seats are trimmed in leather and the front are cloth. Pictures of the seats would be cool too. In case you're wondering, the damage is the front passenger side wing and bonnet and small dent on rear. Cheers lads, I'll hopefully soon be a Supra owner
Guest Martin F
Nope, cloth interiors on Jap spec cars are not unusual. Are you sure the rears are leather, they could very well be vinyl.
Bradb
Rears look leather, but are vinyl
recoil
Yeah, the look like leather but I guess they're vinyl. I'll have another look. Is there some sort of leather test I can do? lol Did the front seats ever get produced in leather or leather look vinyl? I'm just trying to figure out if the front seats have been taken out and replaced by cloth ones. Thanks
Terminator
Some levels of Jap MKIV had cloth seats in the fronty, leather was an option on most but the top of the range where it was standard.

recoil
Also, how much would u expect to pay for mint condition front and rear seats with cloth up front and vinyl at rear?
Terminator
Originally posted by recoil Also, how much would u expect to pay for mint condition front and rear seats with cloth up front and vinyl at rear? Cant answer that, as most people go for a leather upgrade if they are changing seats. IMO
recoil
K...do many people sell their seats on the site? Or are there any other sites that might? Not bothered weather cloth or leather but cheap would be nice
Guest Martin F
Speak to JIC (http://www.japanese-car-imports.co.uk) they usually have seats around, or can re-cover cloth seats.
Marco
My front seats are cloth and rear ones are leather. No vinyl.

ScottPawsey
I had my fronts leathered well worth it. I thought it looked weird with the leather look rear and cloth on the front seats.

SMW
When I was looking for a soop I saw quite a few j spec cars with what I presumed were leather rear seats and cloth front. I thought it looked ok but I do prefer the leather all round which I think is standard on a UK model. Having said that it's not the best quality stuff you'll ever see. Anybody had their seats re-covered with different leather?
Andrew
I have full leather Recaros on my J-Spec, figure hugging and good quality leather bit tougher than the normal leather you get. There is one part of the chair that really wears out quick and that's the side part of the drivers chair, had this on my old one. It's the bit where your arse rubs on the seat when you slide in

ScottPawsey
The seats cost me 800 for the fronts only which i thought was alot, but it was a really good job and the leather is top notch stuff. I wish i had the rears done as well.
