J-Spec decat pipes

Hey guys,

 

I am new to the board and have a question concerning the front exhaust section.

 

My J-Spec supra is equipped with decat-pipes made from mild-steel.

Do oyu know where i can get new decat pipes in 3" and Stainless steel?

I only found 2,5" pipes or pipes for the UK-spec.

Paul Whiffin of Whifbitz could probably supply or get a pair of 3" stainless steel J-Spec decat pipes made up for you. You could drop him a PM.

I wonder if there's just a difference between the UK and J-Spec downpipes or are the frontpipes also different?

1st decat: You need the correct one for a UK or J-Spec - they're NOT interchangeable because the stud holes are different.

 

2nd decat: Either pipe will physically fit both UK and J-Spec models, but on a UK model the 2nd cat has an O2 sensor, so you have to have a decat pipe with the gland for the sensor. You can use a UK 2nd decat pipe on a J-Spec if you block off the O2 gland with a plate - or you could use the gland for a sensor for an AFR gauge.
