The BHP Performance Show 2010

Now in it 3rd year, the BHP Performance Show has grown from a local show to one of the top event within the Car Show calendar. Over the past two years the show has grown from strength to strength in not just doubling it public visitors but by growing 10 times in size from the original event in 2008. The show has also set new ideas in the car show world by being the first modified/performance car show to be broadcast on TV and changing the boundaries on the awards given away at show's, even going as far to award a best trade stand award in 2009, another first.

This years show will follow the success from the previous years by keeping gate prices low, not hiding car clubs away in another field and trade stands at the heart of all traffic, combine that with a full public access open pit area and a chance for the public to attack this demanding 1 mile long circuit, the show looks set for another fun and exciting event.

What can you expect to see.............. how about :-

4 hours of live track demo's, from drifting to rallycross, car to trucks, 100bhp to 1000bhp we have something to raise your eyebrows. And when these car's come off track they will not be going to a out of reach area where the public cant get to, they will be in our open pit area so you can see the cars and drivers up close and personal.

A car product trade area, i.e. we will not be following the trend of furniture and non car stands. Every trader there will be selling car products or a service for your car.

Brand new rolling road so you can prove your BHP.

A chance for you to get on track in your car and at £15 for 15 mins (in advance £20 on the day) it is one of the cheapest track time in the UK. Don’t hesitate, over 100 people couldn’t get on track last year because it booked out.

See local and national owner/car clubs showing off there members cars and see how they get on in the "best car club in show" competition.

Not part of a club but you want to show your pride and joy, you can enter our individual show car area.

And on the day there will be a few surprises, I cant say now your have to be there.

So what to do next, go to http://www.bhpperformanceshow.com to get all relevant forms, galleries/video and show info

So a big question will be price………….If your club would like to be part of the show it is £7 per driver wristband and car(only drivers will be permitted entrance with theses bands, passengers will have to pay £15) then £15 per person in the car. Minimum car’s to qualify for a club stand is 10.

And two last thing to think about, every car that is in the show is entered for the "best car in show" award, so everyone has a fighting chance!!!! And the whole event will be filmed to be broadcast on Motors TV and covered by 10 magazine, so make sure it's polished and your looking your best.

So invite your friends, family, everybody and be at the BHP Performance Show this May 3rd 2010.

Il try and get on and post updates but if your club organiser can email me on [email protected] and i'l keep them updated.

See you all soon

Jay

might go to this.

might be a stupid question but how does insurance go as regards to the track?

I dont use the supra on the track, its to small for supras i leave that to the the four wheel drive, or the track cars.

I would consider it nearly a waste of money to take a supra on it. The straight wouldnt allow for much power before the bend.
