Dragonball
Have opportunity of getting set 550 Densos injectors out of USA 95TT with rail Does $300 sound good/bad/indifferent? Advice please Assume these will be low impedance - will need resistor pack for my J-Spec etc? What else involved with fitting / cost please? Cheers Paul
matt
I got some from the states $160 plus 40ish shipping....Maybe i got lucky I plan on having them checked despite the assurance of low mileage.. yes you'll need a resistor pack ... and a fuel comp to trim the fuelling Pete Betts has the info on his site and i believe IanC has documented the procedure too looks straightforward enough....... costs i dunno ..... i do all my mods , so have no ideas on labour costs. I'll post price 0f resistor pack when i get mine... HTH
Branners
If somebody calls me a fat lazy waster then I might just get round to doing the web page and pictures for the full install courtesy of Ian C again.. JB

Ian C
$300 sounds great, but you don't need another fuel rail, they jam into the j-spec fuel rail (if you use a hammer). SupraStore.com have a set for $250 at the moment by the way, if you want to chance them. You need a resistor pack and you need a bit of 7-core cabling plus connectors to wire the resistor pack into the engine loom. I sparky'd this up myself using stuff from the Vehicle Wiring Products catalogue. You'll see what I mean when the piccies are uploaded, hopefully I don't know what mods you have already, but don't forget the fuel pump, and some method of trimming the fuelling. Also, get the injectors ultrasound cleaned and flow tested - CW did mine for about sixty quid and one of them needed it, money well spent. These were brand new as well! -Ian

soupratt
Hey, DO you have a part number for the Resistor Pack ? I have been trying to track it down but without much success. Cheers Andrei
dude
very usefull ive copied that for future reference , what i need to know is 1 how much power are 550 injectors and uk pump good for. 2 if i were to fit even bigger injectors and pump for use at a later date would they work ok before any other mods 3 once fitted is the FCD enough to regulate the fueling my car at the moment has a blitz back box, sequential BOV,HKS induction kit and a HI/LOW boost box thingy , im going to remove the cats and fit a FCD and FMIC will i gain anything by fitting the bigger injectors power wise or just safety wise , thanks . eyefi
1. around 500hp 2. yes, but u d need a fuel computer of some kind to remap it, and maybe uprated fuel lines and rail 3. no, the fcd only raises the level of boost that fuel cut occurs. u aint gonna gain any power with bigger injectors at this stage, unless yr underfueling. Depends on the make of the FCD, the TRL and GReddy units raise the level but I believe the HKS one removes it all together.
