edinlexusV8
Wow guys! I watched this today on BBC 1 (last part of the 3 part series). It is all about cars, tyres, V5s, Service books etc etc. It is very interesting and is worth a watch to keep us safe and cautious. I think this is the best of all three parts. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00rgh6s/Fake_Britain_Fake_Cars/

dr_jekyll
that pice on the tyres was stupid. the conti sport contact 2s cost nearly 3 times what the ecceleras cost , i would fully expect them to stop 10m earlyer in wet conditions and if they didnt i would want to know why. these people work for continental and are obviously a bit pissed that there designe has been copied. but nothing shoked me about that report. the acceleras may have copied the tread designe of the contis but they are not "fake" tyres , they conform to all the regulations and allthough not high performance like a largly more expensivre conti they are a relitivly strong robust bugit tyre. its the same as anything if you pay for the good stuff it will perform better. im currently reviewing the conti sport 2s on my car and will be posting my report soon
edinlexusV8
Other than the thread pattern, the rubber and the reinforced materials inside the rubber make most of the difference I suppose. im currently reviewing the conti sport 2s on my car and will be posting my report soon I would be quite interested to know about the differences.
